Project Management Services for New Pipeline Construction in Mexico

Project Background

Our client, part of a major industrial, commercial, and service consortium in Latin America, awarded Penspen a contract for project management services for the construction of their new pipeline in Mexico. 

The pipeline will supply approximately 400 million cubic feet per day of natural gas to power generation plants, securing access to energy for communities in the north of Mexico.

Services

Penspen was engaged to act as an independent representative of the client, the owner of the pipeline – a critical support function covering project management and control during the first phase of the 77km project.  

This phase includes the basic engineering of the pipeline, permit processing, detailed engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning. The scope of the work also extends to the development of the pipeline’s operating philosophy, as well as its pre-startup, operation, and maintenance procedures and programs. 

The project harnesses the expertise of several of Penspen’s specialists, spanning project management, QHSE, and construction, as well as civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. 

Result

By leading the successful completion of the first phase of the project, Penspen will lay the foundations for ongoing progress in the following stages and ensure greater energy security in Mexico.
