Call-Out Services Agreement for a Major Middle Eastern Well Tie-in Project
Enhancing energy production through well connection across three strategic petroleum producing fields.
Project Background
Our client, a leading engineering, procurement, and construction organisation, has awarded Penspen a three-year call-out services agreement aimed at enhancing production in 3 strategic petroleum fields, by connecting 68 wells. The engineering phase is expected to be completed in eight months, focusing on key tasks for procurement, with the goal of having the wells operational within 16 months of project initiation.
Services
Since the project commenced in mid-2024, Penspen’s Middle East & Africa team has led the first phase of the project, working closely with a local EPC contractor to procure essential equipment, including line pipes, wellhead control panels, chemical injection skids, motor-operated valves (MOVs), shut-down valves (SDVs), and solar panels.
Penspen’s Engineering team in the Middle East will carry out the detailed engineering for various types of wells to meet project requirements, which includes:
- ESP Wells: Electric Submersible Pump wells designed for oil extraction.
- Gas Lift Oil Producer Wells: Wells that use gas to help bring oil to the surface.
- Water Alternate Gas Injection Wells: Wells that use a combination of water and gas to enhance oil recovery.
- Water Injection Wells: Wells that inject water to help push oil towards production.
Our services also include converting existing wells to meet the required new standards, leveraging our past project experience and familiarity with industry requirements. Additionally, Penspen’s regional Engineering team will also evaluate vendor bids and review engineering documents to ensure they meet quality standards. This multidisciplinary team includes specialists in process engineering, safety, instrumentation, piping, civil engineering, telecom, mechanical engineering, and corrosion prevention, supported by a drafting team to produce clear and accurate project documentation.
Result
With project completion targeted for 2027, our services will significantly enhance energy security and economic growth in the region through the strategic expansion of energy production across the petroleum fields.
