Penspen performs first-class pipeline integrity assessments for operators around the world and provides industry-recognised, in-depth training across multiple disciplines. This expertise has been elevated through THEIA, driving the digital transformation forward in the energy industry.
The THEIA team of engineers has developed a resource module to act as a support tool for experienced engineers, as well as a training opportunity for newer recruits. The module allows for interactive training in addition to an extensive corrosion wiki environment for referenceing.
THEIA’s eLearning Module
Penspen performs first-class pipeline integrity assessments for operators around the world and provides industry-recognised, in-depth training across multiple disciplines. This expertise has been elevated through THEIA, driving the digital transformation forward in the energy industry.
The THEIA team of engineers has developed a resource module to act as a support tool for experienced engineers, as well as a training opportunity for newer recruits. The module allows for interactive training in addition to an extensive corrosion wiki environment for referenceing
Penspen’s years of experience and knowledge have been integrated into THEIA’s eLearning module and technical library to offer a fully rounded environment for users of THEIA to be able to keep on top of their development and the development of their teams in addition to acting as a useful reference tool. Ranging from experienced engineers to developing talent, the material held in THEIA is suitable to refresh on specific aspects of integrity relevant to their requirements.
THEIA offers specific capabilities within the eLearning Module:
- eLearning Library – An extensive library of courses relating to Asset Integrity. These materials include topics on Geohazards, Defect Assessment, Pipeline Materials, Risk Calculation, and much more
- Content Search Engine – an intuitive search engine that allows users to browse and select specific modules
- Performance Tests – the option to perform tests and quizzes to improve competency
Technical Library
THEIA has brought together and digitalised the extensive experience of the Penspen engineers in the ‘Corrosion Wiki’, complete with easily searchable and referenceable technical knowledge that is designed to support integrity engineers at all stages of competency. This technical library provides extensive information based on the different categories of corrosion. Engineers can also utilise references to help provide better contexts for the questions they might have.
This library is regularly updated by the engineers as new information and evidence come to light and is regarded as relevant for wider knowledge sharing within the industry.
Penspen is industry-recognised for its experience with pipeline integrity, retaining decades of knowledge and expertise through the multiple projects completed globally. That information has been collected and applied to THEIA’s learning libraries – THEIA holds the capability to help new and more experienced integrity engineers who want to refresh on specific aspects of integrity relevant to their requirements.
THEIA’s library hosts a total of 4 years’ worth of MCs courses in Asset Integrity written and compiled by Penspen experts themselves, to equip engineers with the necessary knowledge and support their performance.
